One of the nice traditions of Nowruz is egg coloring for Haft-Sin. And although there is still about twenty days untill Nowruz, Sahar decided to throw an egg coloring party! Sounds fun? Yes that was totally fun. You can see a few more photos here.

ReplyDeleteHow fantastically fabulous!! Your gathering looks so awesome. Letting your creativity flow with all those paints and brushes and eggs looks like a heavenly thing to do.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the beauty of it all with us.
Shokoofeh, dear, I have been thinking about you a lot. I read every single one of your posts, but I haven't been commenting here or much of anywhere lately.
ReplyDeleteI remember a while back that you wrote about thinking in a conversation-like form and then not having the words when you're online. That is what it has been like for me! I am trying to capture my blogging and commenting voice again.
This post is so interesting to me. The eggs are beautiful and it is interesting to see the process here. When I was little, about four years' old, my mom took me to meet a woman (Ukrainian, maybe) who made very intricate eggs, such as these. I was so amazed.
Thank you for sharing this, my friend.

ReplyDeleteThese are so intricate! Love it! In Germany and I think in much of Europe, we paint eggs for Easter, and now I'm wondering if we inherited the custom from you guys... It's a lovely custom to be sure!
