SENSING THE SHADES

This is in all probability the last post of photos from my recent trip. The whole set is here.
Wish to meet you soon, the beautiful sea! :)

p.s. Thanks to one lovely reader, Maia : that gorgeous flower tree is called ceibo in Spanish and it is the national flower of Argentina. How lovely is that, right?! And thanks to the great Wikipedia : in English it is often known as the Cockspur Coral Tree

THERE IS NO NEVER-NEVER LAND

I wrote a long post, and then deleted it all. But kept the title, and I think it's enough. I am too minimalistic in words.

Tomorrow is a new day.
And I have new plans.
But I am not telling you now.
I will be back next week

Till then I may have a light presence here.

LIFE IS ...

...Life is the dimension of a tree in the eyes of an insect
Life is the experience of bat in the darkness
Life is a strange sense experienced by a migrating bird
Life is the whistling of a train ringing in the sleep of a bridge
Life is like looking at a garden through the closed window of an airplane
The news of a rocket flying to the space
Touching the solitude of moon
The thought of smelling the flower in other planets...

MOMENTS TO OURSELVES

I've realized that one of the things I really need in my life, everyday, is a few hours to myself. I enjoy hanging out with people or having guests over, but I really appreciate those few hours a day which I pause the outer world, which I sit and do nothing. When I brew myself some tea and sit in front of the screen and enjoy the blog-world... Those silence moments in a cafe when it's me and me ... and my cup of latte. You know it's really a crowded world... we all really need some moments to ourselves...

TAKING MY EYES OFF

It's Monday.
A day that is supposed to be fresh. The day to water my African Violets, to change my bed linens and to fold newly washed clothes. But I feel very tired and stale. It's been awhile that something hurts in my left eye. It's not a pain or something. It's a bad feeling in that area of my eye and my head (which I don't know the name in English!) which is making me slightly crazy... I think I need to meet an ophthalmologist very soon...
Now I'm off to make a big mug of milk coffee and let my poor eyes be far from the screen!
Hope you're having a gorgeous Monday, without bad feeling in your eyes! xo

TAKE ME TO THE SHORE

Hello from a very hot Friday afternoon.
It's summer again and I've started spending my time daydreaming about beaches and sunbathing... With smoothies and Mojitos!
What are you up to this summer? Any travels, road trips or just relaxing by the pool?  I am planning for my summer days but what I am pretty sure about is that I have to spend many hours studying English and creating my portfolio...
Not really interesting? True.

p.s. See this post from last year.
p.p.s. The photo: 2009 Edersee, Germany

PLANT LOVERS' PARADISE

The other day we spent a few hours of an afternoon in a truly beautiful greenhouse/botany. The darling girl in the photos is my second cousin, Kiana whom I found decently proper to photograph among all those gorgeous flowers! You can see a few more photos here or here. Oh be sure to check the second link. It has become a very colorful Flickr set!

THOUGHTS

You know... I believe in the power of thinking. I mean I'm one of those people who think of someone in another part of the world if I know s/he is in trouble, even if I barely know her/him. I believe that the world would be a much better place if we all spend a few minutes of our day thinking of others; in a powerful way. I believe that good things happen if good people ask them to happen.
So... if you are with me, if you feel nice when you send positive vibes to the world, if you care... do it right now. Because there are so many people out there ready to receive it.

:)

HUSH...

My mind and also my body are in total intensity today. I am really trying hard to make myself calm down. But so many fast and even agitated dialogues take place in my head when I am like this. You know my brain starts to function weirdly, it starts to make dialogues with me in a very angry manner, the way it should be to the world outside. Because it's angry of something in the outside world, not me. But it's my fault because I try to keep it silent and well... it can't stand it so it starts to argue with me. My poor mind...
Anyway... that's what I am trying to do right now, to hush my thoughts and my feelings. What do you do in such situations? Do you go speak up, shout out and clear your body from anger? Or you decide to keep it deep down and make everyone think how "coolheaded and nerveless" you are?! If you're like me, let me tell you something: We are so very wrong...
That's it.
