UM... DO YOU REMEMBER ME?

Hello friends.
It's me. Shokoofeh!
From a cold Monday night.

Life has been a whirlwind lately.
Work. Projects. Portfolio. Thinking. Processing ideas. Writing. Letters.
And I am in the midst of applying to graduate school.

We even had snow in the early November!

I am feeling fine.
I miss here so much. I actually miss this blog, and taking daily photos.
I miss you, and your comments.
But I am there most of the times, which is easy and inspiring.

So don't forget me, please?
I will be back to you so soon! xo

HERE TO BE HEARD

Okay, there is really no picture in this post. Because... because I haven't taken any. Instead, I have a very engaged mind filled with thoughts which substitute every single minute with another.

It's raining, and it makes me feel better. It's raining so hard like it's never going to stop. Like nothing is ever going to stop... And that's all I really need to believe.

The unfamiliarity of each moment.
The unknown journey through the tiniest pieces of everyday.
The change. The perpetually sense of lost.

It's raining.
The words, ideas, concepts appear for a moment, or two.
Melt down just before I could grab them.

I should make a list, I know.
I know that's my way to keep things ordered.
Yes, I need to write things down.
On a piece of paper.
Then suddenly everything is alive. Clear and distinct. I know.

And there is a title above my list:
Plan your exit from the comfort zone!

It's still raining.

THE SILENT WOUNDS

It was June 2009 that everything started to look different. We didn't know that we were going to change. Change forever. We didn't know that we won't be the same old people.
But it happened. In the beginning we were so loud.  We had so much to say. And we told so much. We heard so much. It was painful and we didn't know that the pain would never heal. Deep, so very deep in our souls.
Time can damage you. Time can take everything from you. And time did it to us. We were eventually fading. Our voices started to shake. It wasn't "the strong voices" anymore. Time made us tired. We became silenced.
Now today... I am sitting here looking at photos from Egypt. Now I am sitting here thinking about Sara. Thinking about my country, my generation. Thinking about our values. About human values. Things that will never ever change. We all want the same things. Anywhere on this planet, we all want the same life.

These days ... I have so much to say, but the old painful wounds are reopened. And once again I am silenced.
