TRAVELING LADY | PARIS PART ONE : LA SEINE

I think there is something whimsical (this is my first time that I am using this word! oh {whimsical} is really magical!!!). what was I saying? aha, something whimsical about the cities which have rivers.

I think a river can brings kind of soul into a city. It's alive and beautiful. Watching the water-the very divine water, the sunshine and the riverside walks are really joyful ...

I think I want to live in a city with a river ... so maybe I should start looking for it! I'm sure it's not Paris, but well Paris and its Seine were really lovely!

Is there any river there where you live?! by the way! where do you live, my friends?!

:)

I couldn't get a pro Flickr account yet, so these photos are not uploaded in my main photostream, but you can see the original sized ones and a few more photos from Seine {here}.

oh and something very important to tell! dears, please read this post of Tina if you haven't till now, and if you find it as important as I did, please post it at your own blogs or link to it.

thank you so much for caring!

Soon I'll moving to New York City which has the Hudson, a dirty loomy river that runs next to the city....nothing like the Siene!!!! I visited Paris not too long ago, and I agree that it is whimsical...not other word is appropriate!!!

I live in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota and we have the mighty Mississippi running right through. Minnesota is where it starts and if you go north to north central MN then you can actually jump across the Mississippi at the head waters. Then it flows to the very bottom of the US and empties into the Gulf of Mexico. What a river. I love to watch the river traffic going up and down.

Your pictures are absolutely gorgeous!!
And indeed, a city which has a river also has that extra magical touch.
The water will always be bringer of wealth, food but also changes. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse.

I live in Antwerp, Belgium. We have a very important big river called Scheldt and a world port.
The Port of Antwerp is the second largest port in Europe, is one of the ten largest ports worldwide and also the most productive.

There is a long and interesting legacy connected to this port throughout the history and that makes it intriguing.

Your post sparked an inspiration again, I will take some pictures and post it on my blog soon, this way you can take a glimpse of Antwerp.

Take care! I Love you blog.

Your photos are breathtaking. I'm so glad you took that trip.

I live in southern Wisconsin in the USA. The Rock River runs through the city. We used to spend quite a bit of time on the river in our boat but for years now I haven't been appreciating it like I should.

Thanks for reminding me of the beauty of flowing water.

Those pictures are just 'ever so lovely' ( that expression [ever so lovely] is up there among my favourite words alongside whimsical)
I love rivers too or actually, I love anyplace with water! ;-)

Beautiful, and yes indeed. A river adds so much soul to a city. Come to think of it, I've always lived in cities with rivers until I moved to Berkeley. But here I have the ocean to compensate!

Greetings,

Rivers are something like the soul of a city...that's a good analogy. I live in Dubai, and there aren't really rivers here that are nice, but there are rivers of people.

Gorgeous photos! San Antonio has a river running through it.. but there's not much that's magical about it. I would much rather live in Paris! or London! :)
