It was June 2009 that everything started to look different. We didn't know that we were going to change. Change forever. We didn't know that we won't be the same old people.
But it happened. In the beginning we were so loud.  We had so much to say. And we told so much. We heard so much. It was painful and we didn't know that the pain would never heal. Deep, so very deep in our souls.
Time can damage you. Time can take everything from you. And time did it to us. We were eventually fading. Our voices started to shake. It wasn't "the strong voices" anymore. Time made us tired. We became silenced.
Now today... I am sitting here looking at photos from Egypt. Now I am sitting here thinking about Sara. Thinking about my country, my generation. Thinking about our values. About human values. Things that will never ever change. We all want the same things. Anywhere on this planet, we all want the same life.

These days ... I have so much to say, but the old painful wounds are reopened. And once again I am silenced.

It's cold.
And rainy.

There is something missing here.
Right here, in my heart.
Or maybe not.

Maybe it's just a thought.
That will vanish tomorrow.
Nothing will be the same, I know.

Good night. xo

Hello and happy Monday, my dears!

These are our African Violets growing very well. Look at them! Their beauty never ceases to amaze me. Click here to see more photos of them.
And the last photo, the always hungry pigeons. The other day I fed them with a whole loaf of bread and believe me they would come back again if I had more bread! See here, two of them are saying hi!

These are the last ones from the first roll of Film Swap with Julie. Though there are a few more unpublished ones that you can see here. But the good news is that Julie is posting the second roll over at her blog and her photostream on Flickr. And today she's written a very interesting article about this whole Film Swapping thing that you can read here.

Thank you so much for the beautiful feedback, everyone! xo

It's very late at night. And I am here, so awake, to share the forth part of roll number one from Film Swap with you. Today Julie got the second roll from lab and let me tell you ... it's fabulous!

We realized that some of you have sweetly posted about our swap project on your blogs. Just wanted to say that it's really nice. And we would really love to know about it. So if you have posted or have the plan to post about us, just leave a comment with your link here and who knows... maybe we would have a treat for you!

Thank you and good night!

Hello friends.
It's a wonderful snowy day here. Everything is white and pretty. And the teakettle is happily whistling. Lovely, right?! Oh and something else, I am reading The Julie/Julia Project web-log, the archive from 2002. Weird. Have you seen the movie? Well I have. Two times in one day. Obsessed I think. But it's really adorable. And I didn't know Julia Child, is it strange? But this girl(Julie Powell) really evoked a dream in me. And the feeling is really great.

Okay guys, these photos are the third part of Film Swap project. There are many more to come and I hope you are not getting tired of them. Mmm... well I am sure you aren't!!!
So wish a beautiful Sunday and see you soon!

P.S. The lovely girl on a swing in the second photo is Julochka's cute daughter, Sabin. :)

Okay. We're here for the second round of our Film Swap photos which are taken first by Julie in her garden in Give and then by me in Kuşadası, Turkey.
We both wish we could have Julie's photos as clear as mine. And we think it's because of the ISO settings.

Hello you, my beautiful readers!

As some of you may recall, Julie the Julochka and I had decided to work in collaboration for a project called Film Swap. It took us about six months, but our first roll of film is finally out!
The first film (Fujichrome Sensia 400) was exposed first by Julie in Denmark, was sent to me and then was double exposed by me.

The result is magically beautiful, in my opinion. It feels wonderful when you see the images of two very different places on one frame. And the inadvertent potential , is just the way I wanted it.

At first I was going to share our best shots, but then I couldn't choose our bests because somehow I love them all. So i decided to share them all with you during one week. And will be telling you things we've learnt from our first attempt. And Julie will also share them with her own beautiful words. So don't forget to check her gorgeous blog, moments of perfect clarity.

Thank you!

It had been awhile since I last took breakfast photos. They really make me happy.
Hope you're having a bright day. xo

Last night we heard very sad news. An Iranian airliner crashed. More than half of the passengers passed away... It's really sad.

I am sitting by the window, watching the beautiful snow falling gently, sipping my cinnamon tea and thinking.
It's a beautiful day; I need to make something. Maybe a carrot cake. Do you have any good recipe to share?

How is your Sunday?

On July 2010 I started a Tumblr blog for gathering anything inspiring around the web world. Now with near 600 images (photographs, notes, illustrations, art works...)  it has become a very big resource of inspiration to me. You can view the entire archive here.

This is time to piles of laundry, design works to be done and a few moments to myself.
Hope you're having a quiet Friday, my friends! xo
