THE VERY FIRST

Hello lovelies. I have something nice to share with you today. Dear Astrid has featured me in her adorable "why do you shoot film" series on her gorgeous blog, Hei Astrid. Go read my answer here.
And there is something so related to that post in this black&white photo: This is the first photo I took with my Analog SLR years ago. The very first one. Printed on Ilford matte paper.

Do you remember your very first printed photo?

oh, how exciting, heading over now.

I think mine would have been from when I went to Paris in High School, I have no idea where they are now though.

My first first film since starting to use 35mm film again would have been with my holga :)

I have actually never printed my own photos. Would love to try it once though. Your print is lovely.

Thanks for linking to my blog, btw :-)

Hi!
I also like to print my own photos, but I never find time to do, and finally I take the photos with my digital camera. That's a pity!

How exciting! Love your first photograph. Mine was a portrait of a friend. I developed it myself but because I didn't fix the film long enough it started to turn yellow after a while and it has become totally unvisible now... too bad!

Are all of your photographs film? Do you develop and print your photos yourself? Sorry for all the questions, I just think your photos are beautiful and would love to know more.

Oh it looks a little bit like a still life in painting, you know? like arranged just before taking the brush for painting it :D lovely, because in some it is like this!

My first film camera...when I was 12 I think...and first photos...of a class trip to the pirinies. To the mountain. They were quite horrible...but they were the first.

It's lovely! My very first film photo was a self portrait taking in the side mirror of a car - still one of my all time favourites :-)

Gorgeous. Yes, my film from Ankara was my first attempt at film. You make me want to dig up those pictures....

yay! that's exciting. i really loved your answers. i read so much passion in there!

i used disposable cameras as a kid and my mom had them developed for me. when i turned 14 she gave me a slr and i started developing my own photos in school. that's the most exciting thing...to see the picture appear.

how wonderful! and i do remember my first one, i was 17- that was over 20 years ago and i fear i don't have it any longer. i had given it to my mom, who kept it until she passed. it came back to me but in all my moving it has been misplaced...

but i can still see it so vividly in my mind.
