Okay. We're here for the second round of our Film Swap photos which are taken first by Julie in her garden in Give and then by me in Kuşadası, Turkey.

We both wish we could have Julie's photos as clear as mine. And we think it's because of the ISO settings.

FILM SWAP SURPRISES

Hello you, my beautiful readers!

As some of you may recall, Julie the Julochka and I had decided to work in collaboration for a project called Film Swap. It took us about six months, but our first roll of film is finally out!

The first film (Fujichrome Sensia 400) was exposed first by Julie in Denmark, was sent to me and then was double exposed by me.

The result is magically beautiful, in my opinion. It feels wonderful when you see the images of two very different places on one frame. And the inadvertent potential , is just the way I wanted it.

At first I was going to share our best shots, but then I couldn't choose our bests because somehow I love them all. So i decided to share them all with you during one week. And will be telling you things we've learnt from our first attempt. And Julie will also share them with her own beautiful words. So don't forget to check her gorgeous blog, moments of perfect clarity.

Last night we heard very sad news. An Iranian airliner crashed. More than half of the passengers passed away... It's really sad.

I am sitting by the window, watching the beautiful snow falling gently, sipping my cinnamon tea and thinking. 

It's a beautiful day; I need to make something. Maybe a carrot cake. Do you have any good recipe to share?

MY NOOK OF INSPIRATION

On July 2010 I started a Tumblr blog for gathering anything inspiring around the web world. Now with near 600 images (photographs, notes, illustrations, art works...)  it has become a very big resource of inspiration to me. You can view the entire archive here.

PERSIMMONS

I am feeling thankful today.

For the rains we have these days.
For the night I spent with two dear friends.

For the love I feel in my heart.
For a hand that I held, dearly in mine.

For my blog, a place to write my thoughts. 
For the calls I receive from my baby boy late at nights.

For my boots that keep my feet warm, my comfy Uggs.
For a cup of tea that is so very hot.

I am feeling thankful today.
Because I am just simply alive.

FIRST SNOW

Tonight we had a lovely goodbye-party for my cousin and his wife who had come from Canada to visit for three weeks. 

It's sad to say goodbye, it's always so sad.

But I looked out and saw that it was snowing. The first snow. And I smiled. 

Now it's officially winter. And I am grateful!

HELLO 2011!

Hello everyone! Happy first day of 2011! 

I hope you all had a wonderful new year's eve. (if this is new year in your country, of course. Because it isn't here in mine) 

Anyway! Today I will be cleaning my work space, organizing my stuff and making new plans. I love fresh starts!

And... let's take a look at my for-some-reason-unaccomplished 365-project over my Flickr page. I didn't achieved the goal to post one photo per day but I learned a lot from this lovely group of friends.

Oh and for the record : There are some puffy beautiful clouds in our sky today so maybe we're expecting some rain and fresh air! :)
